WELCOME!     Here in the Livermore-Amador Valley we live, work and play over a major local water resource – the Livermore-Amador Valley Groundwater Basin.  The groundwater basin is extremely valuable to the community because it stores thousands of acre-feet of water that can be extracted as needed for domestic, commercial and agricultural use.  As the Valley’s water resources manager, Zone 7 is committed to protecting the groundwater basin while providing cost-effective and reliable water deliveries to the retail water agencies in the community.  As part of our commitment, we created this web site to help residents learn about the groundwater basin and how they can participate in protecting it for perpetual use.
