Notice of Board Vacancy – Now Accepting Applications
Zone 7 Water Agency is seeking applicants for a temporary appointment to the Zone 7 Water Agency Board of Directors.

Notice is hereby given that a vacancy will exist for a seat on the Board of Directors of Alameda County Flood Control & Water Conservation District, Zone 7 (Zone 7) effective Jan. 1, 2023.
Zone 7 is seeking applicants for a temporary appointment to the Zone 7 Water Agency Board of Directors. The appointment fills former Director Olivia Sanwong’s seat, left vacant when she resigned her position December 31, 2022. The appointee would serve the remainder of Sanwong’s term, which expires on June 30, 2026.
Who May Apply: Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and reside within the Zone 7 service area of Dublin, Livermore, Pleasanton and portions of unincorporated eastern Alameda County. Applicants must also be qualified to vote.
Application Period: Tuesday, January 3, 2023 – Wednesday, January 25, 2023. All applications must be submitted to Zone 7 by 2:00 pm, Wednesday, January 25, 2023.
The remaining members of the Board of Directors will fill the vacancy by appointment, in accordance with California Government Code Section 1780 at a meeting of the Board of Directors at its regular or special (TBD) meeting place at the Zone 7 office, 100 North Canyons Parkway, Livermore, California. Zone 7 may choose to interview selected applicants prior to appointment. Meetings for interviews, review and appointment are scheduled for Feb. 1, Feb. 2 (if needed) and Feb. 22 (if needed).
