Get Up to $100 for Keeping Your Pool COVERED!

It’s common that pool water tends to evaporate quickly in hot summer months, requiring frequent refills. That’s why keeping your pool covered saves water. In addition to saving water, now you can even get up to $100 rebate for installing a new pool cover!

Great reasons to install a pool cover:

  • Pool covers can reduce evaporation from your pool by up to 95%. The greatest water savings will be during the hot summer months we experience here in the Tri-Valley.
  • Pool covers also help reduce debris in your pool, making it easier to keep clean.
  • Pool covers help retain pool heat.

PROGRAM TERMS & CONDITIONS

ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible for a rebate of 50% of the pool cover cost—up to $100, you must be a water customer of Livermore Municipal Water, City of Pleasanton, or Dublin San Ramon Services District with an active account in good standing. (If you are a Cal Water customer, visit www.calwater.com for information regarding available rebates.) Single Family, Multi-Family, and CII customers are all eligible.

Application (including all supporting documents) must be submitted within 60 days of purchase. Incomplete applications are not eligible for the rebate. Agencies may deny any application that does not meet the rebate requirements. Rebates are processed on a first-come, first-served basis and will only be processed until funds are depleted. Zone 7 typically confirms receipt of a rebate application within 1 week of receipt. Agencies shall have full and sole discretion in all regards related to the rebate and are under no obligation to approve any rebate. Any decision of the Zone 7 General Manager, or their designee, regarding a rebate shall be final.

REBATE PROCESSING: This rebate is issued as credit on your water bill from your local water service provider. It can take up to 3 months to receive a rebate credit to your water account. If an application is selected for an onsite inspection, additional processing time may be needed.

REBATE SPECIFICS: The pool cover shall remain installed/in place at the installation address for at least 2 years and shall be utilized during all times when the pool is not in active use. If there is a change in ownership within two years of rebate issuance, applicant may be required to return rebate funds issued. Applicant will allow, if requested, reasonable access to property to verify the pool cover is installed both before rebate issuance and up to 2 years after rebate issuance. Pool cover must cover at least 75% of the pool’s surface area. Mesh, liquid, and ring pool covers do not qualify. Secondhand covers are ineligible. Non-permanent above ground pools are not eligible for this rebate program. Sales tax, delivery, and installation costs are not rebated. To be eligible, applicant must not have received a Zone 7 pool cover rebate in the past 2 years. Water savings are estimated to be greatest during the summer season, however, I understand installation of a pool cover may not result in lower water bills. Agencies do not guarantee the quality of workmanship or the efficacy of individual pool covers subject to the rebate program.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY: I agree to indemnify and to hold harmless the Agencies and all the Agencies’ officers, directors, appointed or elected officials, agents, representatives, and employees against all injury, loss, damage, expense, fees, costs, and liability arising out of or in any way connected with this rebate, and installation and use of the pool cover.

I acknowledge and understand that many pool covers sold are not intended to be a pool safety feature, and I shall not rely on pool covers rebated through this program as such. Agencies recommend that applicants install/utilize all applicable pool safety measures including, but not limited to, pool covers meeting ASTM1346-91, pool perimeter fences, self-closing and self-latching gates, and supervision of children around pools.

I understand Agencies are not responsible for items lost or destroyed in transit through the mail or electronic medium. Original applications will become the joint property of the Agencies.
