News Release

LIVERMORE, Calif. (September 1, 2021) –If you’re in the market for a new washing machine this weekend, Tri-Valley partners want to remind you they are offering residents of the City of Livermore, Pleasanton and Dublin San Ramon Services District a $200 rebate when purchasing an ENERGY STAR most efficient 2021 high efficiency clothes washer. The $200 rebate program applies to purchases made between July 1, 2021 and Dec. 31, 2021. The $200 rebate will come in the form of a credit to your water bill. With California in a state-wide drought and the Tri-Valley area receiving only 40% of its average rainfall, Tri-Valley partners want to encourage residents to reduce their water usage by 15% from 2020. Purchasing a high efficiency washer is a great way to help save.

“2021 has been the driest year in the Tri-Valley area since 1977, receiving only 5.6 inches of rain so far this year,” said Valerie Pryor, Zone 7’s General Manager. “That’s why it’s so critical that Tri-Valley residents take advantage of rebates like this to help save water and get us to our 15% water conservation goal.”

There are 25 ENERGY STAR most efficient 2021 clothes washer that qualify for the rebate. Anyone who takes advantage of the rebate, must complete the application within 60 days of purchase and installation.
